Water Coolers Can Keep A Workforce Hydrated

Water is considered a key ingredient for the formation of life itself. Mankind is no exception. We need water in our system, even if our bodies are comprised of 60 percent water, because the systems rely on water to help regulate those processes. It can cool us off on a hot day, stabilizing our temperature and even help with weight loss when liquids, like sugary drinks, are replaced with fresh water. Fresh, clean water is a gift that never takes.

But what happens when water is not safe to drink? You end up with a vicious cycle of dehydration. This is because when one in eight people do not have access to clean water, where are their alternatives? Bottled water. However, just recently, Nestle was hit with a class-action lawsuit stating that they alleged falsified advertisement for Poland Spring Water. In 2003, it was settled with Nestle paying $10 million to charity. Luckily, this was just one company and they were, rightfully, punished.

On the flip-side, quenching your thirst with bottled water goes up significantly every single year. In fact, global consumption rises another 10 percent each year that passes by. This is because, generally speaking, bottled water is purer and cleaner. And without fresh water you have three days, four days at most, to last. While it has been shown that one company was caught in the act, it is, thankfully, not the norm. You can be pretty sure that most bottles of water you pick up at the store are safe to drink. And if you have any doubts, doing your own research is never a bad idea.

With the importance of consuming water, many businesses promote healthier work environments with access to office water coolers. This simple task of keeping your workforce hydrated with office water coolers is an excellent way of increasing the average American’s water consumption, a statistic that has actually increased by 38 percent over the past 15 years. While that only equates to 2.5 percent every year, that is 2.5 percent more people benefiting from the power of water

If you are looking for water filtration for your home, you can always invest in a small appliance, a water purifier, that fits to your faucet. However, like the bottles of water, you should always do your research before buying. For example, the bacteria colony count in Brita filtered water can sometimes be 10,000 more than what you would find in tap water, the water from a faucet. Or you can always opt for a home water dispenser which is just an office water cooler for your home.

While he has a taste for the extreme, most of his restaurant’s top sellers are much more down-to-earth, regularly featuring mushrooms gathered from the slopes of the Cascades, and fresh wild-caught seafood from the Oregon coast. Inspired by trends in Portland, his latest restaurant offers the ultimate chef’s table: dinner begins in the morning at his island collective farm, and 4 lucky guests every week get to follow the food, literally, from the field to the plate! Francis is a firm believer that you are what you eat — do you really want to be a chemistry set?
